FREE ADMISSION FOR ALL!

Join the Suffolk County Parks Department and Long Island Chapter of the US Lighthouse Society for a fun, educational day for all ages!

In 2002, the Suffolk County Legislature and County Executive declared an annual County holiday, Suffolk County Lighthouse Day, in honor of the County's distinction of having more lighthouses than any other US county. This official holiday is the first Saturday of each Spring. The Suffolk County Parks Department and the Long Island Chapter of the US Lighthouse Society are presenting the first Suffolk County Lighthouse Day at Cedar Point County Park in East Hampton, home of the 1868 Cedar Island lighthouse.

The event will feature history walks, nature walks, educational activities, kite demonstrations and lessons, a kayaking demonstration, lighthouse-related vendors, lighthouse and historical societies (over 50 vendors and exhibitors in all!), WBAB, WBLI, the Peconic Amateur Radio Club, and more.
