General Meeting at Fire Island Lighthouse

Saturday, February 1, 2003 from 11AM to 1PM

Author Van Field (Wrecks and Rescues on Long Island) will speak about the goings-on around the lighthouse ( US Life Saving Service, wireless station, shipwrecks), and USCG veteran Bob "Chatt" Chapman will speak about his experiences while stationed at the wireless station in the 1960s.

The Fire Island lighthouse was chosen for this meeting because of its central location, cooperative staff, and beautiful winter surroundings.

No charge. Open to the public - Non-members welcome.
