Sunset  & Antique Lantern Light History Tour
at the Cedar Island Lighthouse

Saturday, August 2, 2003

at Cedar Point County Park, East Hampton, NY
Home of the Cedar Island Lighthouse

Meet at Cedar Point County Park at 5:30pm.

(Directions to Cedar Point County Park)

This is a free event, but donations for the lighthouse will be accepted.

Come hear the history of one of Long Island's most beautiful and endangered historic lighthouses. You will also learn about Long Island's main whaling port, the nearby Sag Harbor.

Warren Allen, grandson of the lighthouse's last keeper, will be along to share stories of life at the lighthouse in the 1920s and 30s. This will be Warren's first time at the lighthouse in nearly 70 years.

Presented by the Long Island Chapter of the US Lighthouse Society and the Suffolk County Parks Department.
