Property Description |
Remote 35 ft. conical, 3-story “spark
plug” style light (1893) with keeper’s quarters (approx. 1000 SF). Interior lined in brick up to 3rd
floor. On 0.72 acre submerged land. Constructed
of cast iron on concrete/cast iron caisson.
Markings: white
upper/black. Protective riprap and
breakwater sheltering light’s boat basin.
Accessible by boat only. |

Register of Historic Places and must be maintained according to the Secretary
of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
Historic covenants will be incorporated into the Quitclaim Deed; however,
no submerged land will be conveyed under the Quitclaim Deed. Applicants should contact Alan Bauder @ 518-473-1288; alan.bauder@ogs.state.ny.us (NY Office of General Services) who will
issue an easement for use of the underwater land. |

Easements |
The U.S. Coast Guard shall retain an
easement for an Arc of Visibility and an unrestricted right of access in, to
and across the property to maintain, operate, service, repair and install equipment
as necessary to support its aid to navigation mission. Additionally, the U.S. Coast Guard shall
retain the unrestricted right to relocate or add any aids to navigation or
communications towers and equipment (along with necessary right of ingress/egress),
or make any changes on any portion of the property as may be necessary for
navigation/public safety purposes. |
